The Plan

It’s YOUR wedding and YOUR day and my main goal as a celebrant is to make sure it happens that way.

We can be light, we can be serious, we can have bells and whistles or just the basics. There are obviously some legalities to be dealt with but after that, it’s all up to you.

I love to tell people’s stories and wedding ceremonies are a wonderful opportunity to do that.

I want to make sure they are personal, genuine and reflect who you are and what you want.

So first we talk….no obligation and preferably over coffee or a wine. I’ll explain what has to be done and then outline some options for you. You can then decide if you want me to do your ceremony.

First order of business is the Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) which must be signed and in the hands of your celebrant at least one month (and not more than 18 months) before the wedding.

There’s a minimum of four other documents to be prepared, which I will organise for the day.

I’ll write a ceremony based on the information you give me about who you are and what you want. If you’re looking for music, readings or ideas on how to make your ceremony unique, I’ve got lots of material you can consider.

I’ll also make sure we have a good rainy day option as you don’t ever want to feel like you had second best just because the weather didn’t co-operate!

There are no surprises. You sign off on my words and plans as they are basically your words and plans.  And after that,  the real fun begins!
